Chapter 15
After Leon left, Pierre washed his face and cleaned up. He put the book on his bedside table and decided to put the vampire facts out of his mind. The three of them spent a pleasant evening baking a quiche in the boarding house kitchen, eating it together in Leon’s room. Pierre admired the soft romance that flowed back and forth between Leon and Josephine as they bantered between each other.
He wanted to have something like that with Antoine, and from what Henri had told him, some men did that.
When the moon climbed higher in the sky, he felt tired, so he retired to his room to sketch before he went to sleep. He spent some time drawing pictures of the night sky from his window before he drew a male couple sleeping in a romantic embrace as he remembered the times that he’d spent with Antoine, all of which he remembered fondly and found pleasant. He didn’t know what to make of their blood-drinking, but it felt so good when it happened that he decided to take Leon’s advice
