Chapter 4

How many more times can I fall asleep and wake up with a feeling of dread in my chest? No matter how many times I close my eyes and think all this is a big nightmare, nothing happens.

I know At any moment, someone will pull my thick blanket, and some other man will meet me again. Is he a vampire? Impossible. I thought they were just fiction and barbershop stories. What the hell? How else can I explain the double pain in my neck the moment his lips touched it? Fuck! But I'm still not convinced; could it be that this guy is just too obsessed with vampire shows?

I didn't realize that I just grabbed my neck so that the man's bite mark would be on me. I can no longer feel any pain or traces of being bitten here. Could it be that I'm dreaming in my dream? Damn, it's not good anymore.

"Don't think too much, Claret." I heard the familiar male voice. If I am not mistaken, he is the man in chains that I saw. Instead of hiding under this blanket, I bravely got up and quickly pulled the thick blanket over my very thin clothes. Damn, I feel like I have no underwear on.

"Who are you?" I directly asked the man, who was already sitting at the end of the bed I was on.

"Haven't you met me yet?" With the speed of the event, I just saw him close in front of me. How did he do that?

"Get away from me!" I tried to pull back even though I was already on the headrest of the bed.

"You looked prettier in long hair." long hair? I was just surprised when he gently slid His hand was in my hair, and my eyes almost widened when I saw that it was long.

My short brown hair turned into this elegant, curly brown hair. I felt like a statue when he gently kissed my long hair.

But my hands have a life of their own; they flew to his cheeks, and the force of my slap on him almost echoed throughout the room.

"As long as I'm old, you've called me a poor woman! You're a motherfucker; do you expect me to believe what you say?" I hurriedly got off the bed while still holding the blanket that I was trying to cover myself with.

"You slapped me for the third time," he said seriously as he lightly touched the cheek that I slapped.

"Where am I? I want to go home; I don't want to stay in this place, especially with this man who effortlessly attracts my eyes. Damn, I've seen basketball players with no top on at our university, but never once have I seen anyone with a body as good as the man in front of me. Fuck.

"You won't ever come back, Claret; you belong here. "You belong to me." I retreated even more from what he was saying. What the hell?

I couldn't find anything to answer him, and he was about to start coming towards me again when we were interrupted by a soft knock from the door. Should I thank it?

He faced the door with irritation, and it opened on its own because of the person who opened it from the outside.

"The first prince is waiting for you; even your other brothers are waiting." I frowned even more as I heard These are the princes they are talking about.

I slightly looked around the room as he and the old woman kept talking in weird languages. Grandma only taught me one thing: if I'm in a situation, I don't know what to do. It is better to act naturally and not scare yourself. I will try to talk to this man in a proper way, and I will make him understand that I am not the person they are looking for.

I once again cast my eyes around the room filled with old-fashioned yet elegant furnishings rarely seen in an ordinary house these days. Their crystalline light, which was not clear, several candles standing in each corner of the room, small statues whose designs I could not understand, and only an old-fashioned clock were familiar to my eyes. Why is this room designed like this? It gives me goosebumps. But I breathed even more when my eyes hit a mirror where I could see my whole body. It's not the mirror I may have 'meant," but I can tell it's an antique too because of its old-fashioned design.

My feet spontaneously stepped until I was completely facing the mirror. I couldn't believe what I was seeing in my reflection. Was I the girl I was seeing? Why did I just notice that I don't have glasses anymore? Why can't I see clearly?

Even my hands voluntarily let go of the thick blanket covering my body. And I was almost impressed with my complexion; yes, I was white before, but why did my white complexion become brighter? What happened to my lips? It got redder; I applied it several times, thinking it was lipstick, but it still remained as red as apples. And my whole body—every curve of it—is becoming more and more defined. What happened to me?

"You are my newborn mate, Claret, the most beautiful vampire in this empire." I couldn't move in front of the mirror when an arm wrapped around me from behind. I immediately felt the warmth of the man's body hugging me from behind. I don't even know why I allow this strange man to hug me, despite the clothes I'm wearing now. I am almost naked.

I was just staring at the mirror while watching his every move while hugging my body. What the hell is wrong with you, Claret? Your grandmother didn't raise you like this.

"Please help yourself. Claret, wake up your vampire blood. I've been dying from your fangs. I need your bites. You need to bite me back."

My hair rose when I felt the nameless man's hand crawling on my stomach; despite the cloth blocking my body, I could still feel his warm and gentle caress.

The heart beats faster, and I'm starting to catch my breath, noticing that the color of his eyes changes. What is happening to his eyes? I remember the red moon in his eyes.

"Stop!" I closed my eyes and screamed when I felt his hand coming down. I heard him laugh softly. And he stopped his hands from moving. Fuck! Do something, Clare!

"I know you can't resist me, Claret; get dressed. I'm going to introduce you to the whole empire." When I woke up, he was gone behind me, and the only thing left was an outfit that I never thought I could wear in my whole life.

I quickly ran to the window to find out where I was in the Philippines, and when I violently pushed the windows, I just fell.

"Where the hell am I?" I was in a high place where I could see different buildings with unfamiliar designs that I thought I would only see in stupid movies.

"What the fuck?! This might sound childish, but fuck! Am I in a castle?" I asked myself as I looked up at the height of the building I was in. I immediately noticed that the place where I was standing was the center of this whole place. Where have you been, Claret? What are these things you see?

How did I end up in this place? I just sat down and almost adjusted myself. So much is happening to me; the last thing I remember is my birthday. Why am I in this situation?

Was it really true that I was in a vampire's home? What the hell? I'm a mess. I want to wake up.

"Hurry up and get dressed; we're all getting impatient." I raised my eyes at the voice of the woman I heard. I was met by a familiar woman, who pushed me into the bathroom. Shit. This whole thing is a goddamn nightmare, Claret. You just have to accept that it's just too long and just go with the flow. Because everything that is happening to you right now is unreal.

I didn't speak anymore, and I stood up to pick up the dress that I didn't know how to start wearing with the amount of lipstick on it. I just cringed at the weight of what I was going to wear. How can they wear it so well?

"As expected, my brother couldn't wait any longer. How many times has he bitten you?" Go ahead and stand up for being a vampire. I might believe it. I just chose not to answer, and I undressed in front of him to change my clothes. I immediately noticed the raising of his eyebrows when he saw my whole body. I don't care.

When I tried to lift the zipper of the gown I was wearing, the woman who had been watching me helped me. When I finally got dressed, I didn't scream anymore when he pulled me out. Several uniformed women headed out as soon as we left the room. And every time I step into this place, I am just amazed. I'm actually in a castle.

The huge door opened spontaneously, and I was like a statue to the people who were staring at me.

I can say that the five looks in front of me today really scream beauty and elegance. Who are these people?

The woman quickly left me and sat in one of the empty seats in front of me. Six pairs of eyes were staring at me. I saw two familiar faces: "majesty," who was staring at me seriously, and the man with gray hair named Caleb, who was smiling at me. There was also a new man who was not familiar to me and who was slightly biting his lip while resting his right hand on the armrest and staring down at me. and young twin girls and boys, both smiling at me. And the girl who picked me up raised her eyebrows.

Are they what the old man waiting for me says? Why? What do they need from me?

"Welcome back; I really thought you were going to die, Zen," Caleb said, laughing at the man behind me. I quickly turned to the man he called Zen, and I was almost embarrassed when I realized he was probably the guy I was sharing the room with.

"Is he the one you're talking about taking your life? and die?! He's stronger than a buffalo!" When they went to the house, it looked like the man they were talking about was really going to die, but why couldn't I see in this man that he was about to die?

"What the fuck, Zen?! "She compared you to a damn carabao," said the man I just saw laughing. Almost all of them were laughing except for 'your majesty."

"You shouldn't make fun of vampires, newborn." They stopped laughing when another man came, and he quickly sat down in the empty seat. Compared to the people here, I'd say he's more difficult to get along with.

Seven pairs of eyes are already watching me intently, as if I am something that needs to be experimented with and carefully studied.

"Vampires? Stop me; I don't believe in vampires. And if you're looking for someone to fool, don't look at me. I want to go home, and I'm not the girl you're looking for," I said bravely. I've been thinking about what's happening to me, and no matter what I do, I still can't believe that there really are vampires. Yes, and I felt a pain in my neck, but it's possible that I was really bitten to look believable; even what I saw on this man's lips might just be a show. Could it be that these people are artists and want to involve me? damn

"She's quite funny," said his majesty coldly.

I thought they would laugh again at what 'majesty' said, but everyone was almost silent. I wrapped myself up when I suddenly felt a chill, and suddenly my whole body froze when suddenly there was thunder and the light went out, and I almost cried while having an itchy knee when I saw that seven pairs of eyes suddenly turned red and stared at me. I couldn't hold back my screams when the thunder started again and lightened slightly due to the lightning. Immediately hit

In the sight of my eyes, I saw teeth with very sharp ends. What kind of creatures are these people?

"I don't want to! Stop me!" I immediately lifted my heavy joy and forced myself to run on my itchy knees. What kind of people are they? Real vampires. Real vampires.

I just fell down on my run when I bumped into something hard. And red eyes greeted me. I hit his chest violently.

"Please, please, stop me. I don't want it anymore. I'm leaving; I haven't done anything wrong to you." My knees softened, and I just slid on the cold floor. I sank to my knees while sobbing. What's happening to me? Why are vampires chasing me? I never dreamed my life would be like this.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! Why did you scare him?" The voice of the man they call Zen was very angry. He needs my blood. Why me? Why me?

"It's okay, Claret. I'm here.." I tried to hold his hand. Please don't touch me anymore.

"Stop me! You vampires! Stop me!" I screamed as I tried to block 'Zen's' hands; I can never trust vampires.

"See? He believes now," a voice said, laughing.

"Claret, you're one of us. Maybe you're already noticing the change. To you, I've bitten you twice, and in no time you'll crave for my blood. You need to accept the real you." What? What am I? What did he do to me? He ruined my life!

"You turned me into a vampire?" My tears became more and more intense. The simple life I dreamed about disappeared like a bubble because of this man's bite. I was horrified to think that I would drink blood. Fuck. Never!

"Yes, this entire kingdom has been waiting for you for a long time. I've been waiting for you for a long time." He knelt slightly so that our eyes were level. Waiting? Me? What do I have to do with vampires?

"I don't understand." I'm confused. Does Grandma know anything about this?

"I am Zen Lancelot Gazellian, the second prince of this empire. the born prince who was destined for you, Claret Cordelia Amor."

Once again, I was unable to move as each burn spread throughout the environment. This was what seemed like light in a very dark place. And this wasn't the only thing that surprised me; it wasn't just seven vampires watching us now. We were surrounded by not only a hundred pairs of red eyes but also the darkness of different parts of this huge castle.

I felt him slowly removing the cloth covering my arms, and when he partially removed it, his eyes started to turn red. I tried to pull my arm from his grip, but it had no effect.

I just closed my eyes when his lips came close, and he buried his fang not far from my penis. The fire in the atmosphere flared up and grew as soon as he began to drink my blood. It's not like his first and second bites made me feel weak; I felt something else. I couldn't even feel the pain from his fangs. And instead of getting weak during this time of drinking my blood, I couldn't understand what I was feeling. Why does every part of my body seem to enjoy the way my blood flows on his warm lips?

I can even love the sounds of his drinking. Fuck! What do I feel?

I didn't notice my gentle stroking of his hair while he was constantly drinking my blood. Here he stopped drinking as if he were surprised by what I did; even though I was surprised by my body's reactions, they seemed familiar to this man's lips. damn Why is Claret making a fuss? I didn't follow the doubt in my mind; instead of screaming and walking away from him because of what he did to bite me, my hands spontaneously moved to wipe the blood from his lips. He immediately caught it and brought it to his lips, as if he himself had consumed a drop of my blood.

"Your eyes are glowing, Claret. You're awake."
