Fabian still felt some apprehension in his heart about the rumors of his brother still being alive, even though his fear had been allayed a bit by the news that Nicholas and his soldier brought to me. But aside from his fear, he felt overwhelmingly enamored of Diala. He felt as if he had been put under a spell. She had been spending the nights in his chambers and with the passing of each night, he felt even more crazed by the love. There was something about her — in the twinkle of her eyes, the smirk in her face, her gestures, even as simple as flicking her wrist, or stroking her hair. And all those made him drawn to her even more.
