Chapter 75
Fabian was lying on his bed, stretched under a huge blanket that he had requested because, recently, he had been getting very cold. Anthony stood over him, his face grim with the terrible news that he brought, his manner subdued. The servant, who had also been standing by, stood with an expressionless face; he looked exhausted, really, and looked like he would like to go elsewhere and get some rest. Fabian's eyes widened with terror. His heart quickened, his breathing swallowed, and his upper body heaved.
"What does that even mean, physician?" He asked Anthony. "Are you joking with me? I have no time for pranks and silly games!"
