Chapter 58. Daniella in Alexa’s Place

While Glen was watching over Alexa, Lexie arrived with food. She noticed that Jack was not in the room. “Where’s the one with you?”

“There’s just something important to do.”

“Is that so? Have you eaten yet?”

“I’m still full. I’ll eat later.”

Lexie just went to the table to put the food she bought on it and arranged it when Glen asked her to. “What’s Alexa’s job?”

She stopped and sat next to Alexa’s bed as well, but on the other side, so she and Glen were now facing each other. “Nothing,” was her short reply.

“Nothing?”

“Alexa is just at home and rarely goes out.”

Glen frowned. “That’s why she’s so hard to find. It took us a few years before she was found and with your help.”

Lexie wondered. “Me?”

“When I found out that Alexa is your friend and is who Jack is looking for, I called him right away, but I can’t quite imagine that this will happen because he wants to see Alexa right away.”
