When I stepped out of the club, all of a sudden, I felt the chill of the wind blowing over my skin, but it was nothing compared to the iciness that I experienced on the interior of my heart. Because it was frozen… the pain was intense, and it seemed like I was being stabbed by a thousand knives.

I looked all over for Chad, and I eventually found him standing in the parking lot with his back to me, patiently waiting while his hands shoved inside the pocket of his khaki shorts.
