Chapter 19. Annoying Boss

Chloe POV

I had just finished taking a quick shower, so I put on my loose t-shirt, hopped into the bed, and was about to sleep when I heard my phone beep.

I checked to see who had contacted me at this hour by reaching for my phone, which was sitting on the table next to my bed. When I discovered Easton had been sending me a lot of text messages, I almost dropped my phone.

The first message I received said, ''Chloe... Where are you?'' immediately followed by an ''I'm sorry...''

I frowned as I opened the second one. ''Please…come back… or at least tell me that you got home safe…''

As I typed out my response to him, I heaved a sigh.

''I'm home…'' Due to the fact that I was already feeling tired and dizzy, I immediately sent the text and didn't care to wait for his response.

After setting an alarm on my phone, I placed it back on the bedside tab
