Chloe POV

A few days had gone by after the night I spent with my boss in his bed, and he actually started acting in a more decent manner after that incident. He didn't make any attempt to kiss me or flirt with me, and he certainly didn't give me any indication that we should do what we did again.

But the thing is, I always caught him staring at me while I was taking notes of his instructions, or his mind was flying somewhere and didn't hear what I was saying to him… or he would just look at me with a smirk on his face when I was handing him his coffee. All of these things happened simultaneously.

I chose to overlook all of those strange behaviors he displayed. It's possible that he's just thinking about how much he misses Rosie, or perhaps he's thinking of some crucial aspects of the business.
