Griffin’s POV
“Firstly, my son. You must understand that if you continue to pursue this recklessly, you will jeopardise my entire pack. Do you want me to hand you the Alpha title one day? Well then, prove yourself worthy because right now, I see a silly, immature little boy who is jealous of someone else’s mate.” My father’s face hardened as he spoke; the air felt tense around me. It was as if I were a little boy once more, craving my father’s approval.
“And what is it, father?” I shot back, years of frustration finally bubbling up from the surface. “Are you ever going to see me for what I can do? Am I to be compared to Nolan for the rest of my life? Is he so deserving of your admiration, and I am not?” My jealousy was evident no matter how hard I tried to deny or conceal it.
