Avery’s POV

“Wake up, girl!” I feel a tap on my shoulders.

“Leave me alone.” I groan, pushing her hand away.

“Avery!”

An irritated hiss leaves me, and I sit up immediately. I glared at Anita, who stood with her hands on her hips as she glared back at me. “Are you serious right now?”

“I am sorry.” I apologized, recalling my emotions. “Why are you here so early in the morning? Don’t you have to prepare Felicity for school today?” I asked as I climbed down the bed.

“You must have partied so hard. It’s already past eleven.”

“Oh my goodness!” I gasped, running out of the bedroom as Anita’s laughter echoed behind me. “Lawrenta!”

She comes rushing out of her bedroom. “Gosh, what is it, dear?” Lawrenta asked, visibly startled by my reaction.
