Chapter 115. Hopeless Is a Mild Word

Ethan’s POV

I fight back a curse and quietly hand her the napkin. She bows politely before walking away.

“Daddy is going to get scolded!” Lucas laughed, his eyes shining with mischief.

“You naughty boy!” I rose to catch him, but his small body jumped away from my hold.

“Daddy is going to get scolded, yay!” Carlos joined in, and the next moment, the moderate sized living room turned into a playground with us running around. When we stop to recover our breaths, there are small drops of paint all over the rug.

“Sir, you should take a bath—” The look of horror in Lawrenta’s eyes doesn’t escape me and I knew there was no escaping this one. Lawrenta regains herself. “Sir, you should get a bath, I will try to remove the stain before madam is back.”

“Daddy, don’t worry about your shirt. You can find another one in Mommy’s wardrobe.” Lucas whispers as if he were sharing a company secret. I ruffle his hair and smile. “Thank you, superman.”
