Chapter 5

A week had passed and ever since the incident, Hidayah had not laid her eyes on him. She knew what time he goes out to work and exactly the time he comes back. Not seeing him for those few days had given her more peace of mind than she had ever imagined.

Her only problem was not being able to go out to see her lover, Adam. She had tried sneaking out multiple times but it was impossible as he had changed the gateman to recruits. There was no way she could pass through those humongous people in uniform.

She tossed and turned in her bed, and sighed. She had a party to attend that day and had no idea how she was going to head out. The party was starting by 7pm and it was already past 5pm. She had to act fast. She could never miss her friend’s party knowing well Adam would be there and he might end up hitting on some cheap rascals. The thought of her man being with another lady made her scramble up from her bed as she murmured to herself.
