Talon’s POV
I watched as Zevara was wheeled into the theatre, my chest hammering violently against my ribcage. My wolf had never been this restless before—never this agitated.
“This is not right!” he growled, his voice laced with anger and deep disappointment. “You shouldn’t hurt our mate like this!”
“Shut up!” I snapped back, my fingers pressing hard against the glass door as if that would force him to shut the fuck up. But he didn’t. “We would lose her if my father ever discovered that she’s carrying his baby.”
I watched as the nurses transferred her onto the operating table and sedated her while they waited for the doctor to arrive.
“Really?” my wolf snarled back. “You selfish bastard. How can you think of no one but yourself? You’re worse—worse than your father. He never even treated your mother like this, yet you made us hate him for years. And now you’re doing even worse. I hate you, you fucking asshole.”
