Zevara’s POV
I sucked in a shaky breath as I stared at the mansion gate looming ahead—grand and intimidating. It had been over three weeks since I left this place, the same place that had somehow become home despite all the chaos.
Memories of my first day here slammed into me. That day, I had thought I shouldn’t have come. I believed I should have been anywhere else—anywhere—but definitely not at the Eclipse Pack of the North, especially after the way the guards had stared at me. And now… I felt the same unease. I shouldn’t have been here. I didn’t even know why I felt that way, but the feeling clung to me all the same.
I took cautious steps toward the mansion. At the gate, the guards bowed without question, opening it and letting me in. I made my way toward the grand living room, exhaled heavily, and twisted the door open. Stepping inside, I was greeted by silence. The place was cold and quiet, stripped of the liveliness it once held when we all lived here
