Zevara’s POV
“The guards at the gate said there is a woman asking to see you, my Lady,” Larissa—one of the maids—said softly, her voice barely audible.
I looked up from the tablet in my hand, where I was scrolling through the silk materials suitable for a wedding dress that Madeline had picked out for me.
The wedding would take place in two weeks’ time, and Madeleine, the event planner, had been working tirelessly under Magnus’s orders to plan the best wedding ever. The wedding venue was set on Magnus’s yacht; the cake, the food, the drinks—everything was already arranged, except my dress. Magnus wanted a custom-made gown, one where the designer would engrave his promises for me using diamonds. I thought it was a hassle, but Magnus wanted it so badly that he was ready to fly in the best and most popular designer from Paris for it.
My brows furrowed in confusion. “A woman?” I asked, puzzled.
She nodded. “Yes, my Lady. They said she has been coming
