Zevara’s POV

Since yesterday that I got back from the border, I haven’t seen Nina, Talon, Alpha Magnus or even Lady Selena. In fact, the whole mansion has been as silent as a graveyard and I wonder what is happening exactly.

It was already past morning and I was starving, so I decided to get something to eat. I walked out of the room into the dining room… and Talon was there, eating. I was so surprised to see him. I thought he left yesterday.. but apparently, it seemed like he slept over.

I stood there for a while, trying to figure out how I would face after what happened yesterday… but then, I couldn’t keep avoiding him forever.

I walked up to him and took a seat across from him. “Good morning,” I whispered.
