Zevara’s POV

“In my own house.” The words tasted bitter on his lips and he took another sip of his wine. “You shouldn’t do that here.”

“Why?” Talon snapped back. “Are you jealous by any chance?” His grip tightened around me and his hand drifted lower to touch my hips.

Alpha Magnus’ gaze dropped to his hand before he snapped his head back up. “Of course not.” He had a deadly smile on his lips but his eyes were flashing with anger or perhaps jealousy. “Do whatever you want, Talon.”

“Yeah… I will, right?” He turned towards me with a bright smile. “Our father has given us his blessings, babe.”

I couldn’t find the right reply, so I forced a smile on. I wanted to get away from their suffocating presence, so I took an excuse. “I will just go and see Nina—i haven’t seen her since two days now.” I took a shaky step and start walking away but Talon’s voice stopped me in my tracks.

“You won’t find her.”

My brows narrowed as I turned back to him.
