Maggie POV

The driver—I still don’t even know his name—doesn’t say another word after his comment about me being seasick, but he sure keeps laughing well past when we’ve packed up to ride in the wagon again.

So, I’m definitely not going to the Mountain Kingdom. That’s a land trip from here. If I need to board a ship to get where I’m going, we could be headed anywhere.

I’ve read a lot about ships and sea voyages, but I never thought I’d actually take one. The sea belongs to Alpha King Cassian, an enemy of Forest Kingdom. How we’re going to manage to travel over the thing when he’s in charge of it, I have no idea.

A mix of fear and excitement rises in me. It will be amazing to see a ship up close, and to ride on one. I’ve read that they’re huge, and it seems crazy that something like that could actually float.
