Chapter 41
I howled in pain. I’ve never felt so suffocated. What was I going to tell Justin? What was I going to tell my heart?
I ran towards Drake, crying and shaking him.
After some minutes of bawling, I stood up; the one thought in my mind was to speak with my parents as it seemed this equation began with them. I was so blinded by rage that I couldn’t think of anything else as I walked on with my bloodied hands and clothes to my parents’ home about 2 miles from the place of the last battle.
When I walked in, I saw my Father sitting calmly on a chair, rocking back and forth. He looked at me with pity and looked back out of the window, still silent.
“Honey, could you watch out for the milkman? He...” My mother was shocked, speechless at seeing me.
“Kudabrien,” she whispered as she came closer. “Is that really you?”
“I can bet you weren’t expecting me.” I hissed as coldly as I could at that moment, though my heart felt like I couldn’t live again.
