Chapter 9. Conscience

Meanwhile, Carousel and Faust were heading at Lake Midgar using Faust’s floating vessel.

“Just tell me the way to Lake Midgar?” asked Faust while he was driving his vessel.

Carousel looked somewhat confused. “You were so eager to ask me to go with you at Lake Midgar, so I thought you’ve figured out how to get there.” said Carousel.

Faust did not know what to reply.

Carousel slightly sighed. “Okay, we go east… that’s where Lake Midgar is, just outside the east of Midgar City.” replied Carousel who was seated at the back side of Faust inside the vessel, then she started to look around to observe the view, she was very wary of their surroundings.

“Heraldin also has a vessel like this.” Carousel said as she looked around the interior of Faust’s floating vessel.

“Who’s Heraldin?” Faust asked.

“Rachael’s father.”

“Ah…” Faust reacted, but defended his vessel. “But you see, this is no ordinary vessel, unlike the common floating vessels you see
