Chapter 74
Sylvana dropped the stray mistletoe stems in the waste bin she was holding, wandering around and fussing over the staff who were adding the finishing touches to the grand room. Her lounge and day room had been opened up, with the huge folding doors that separated the two; rooms cleared of furniture and opened out onto the marquee on the garden via the wide patio doors.
The place felt huge and the masses of sparkling lights and Christmas décor gathered in every corner and crevice was making the whole place magical. Tables and chairs were being laid out around a makeshift dance floor and the outside marquee was serving as a second space with the same purpose, a smaller bar to the one in here, and a smaller grouping of tables.
She knew the families would make use of both as the night wore on; men preferring to congregate out there, while the women got on with the party atmosphere in here. The children were all being delivered to the pre-arranged party across the street, und
