Chapter 29. Failed Attempt

Isabella’s POV

Later that evening my mum called to signal she had arrived safely we spoke for a bit before she hung up.

I was too exhausted to do any work that night, and I guess Tommy just wanted to lay back in bed as well. I had bought a television and placed it in the bedroom, so we turned it on and decided to watch a movie from the flash drive connected to the back of the TV. The title of the film was "Eyes Wide Shut."

As we watched the movie, I asked him what his ex-girlfriend’s name was, and he said her name was Vanessa Pounds. I went further to ask where she lived and what she did for a living. It turns out this lady called Vanessa had been living off him like he was her bank account. She did whatever she wanted since she had found out that he was in love with her. On numerous occasions, not once or twice but repeatedly, she had been caught cheating on him, to which he forgave her. He even went as far as getting an engagement ring for her.
