Chapter 167. Dune Versus Haunter
The roars of men—their moans in agony and their battle cries—echoed throughout the mountain range. Buried beneath a beige cloud of dust, the battle raged, swords clanging as they clashed, and sparks sparking as they struck armor. In a matter of moments, the air had grown thick, perfumed by the choking smell of blood and burnt metal. The ground grew littered with the dead bodies of soldiers and rebels, limbs flying about like they were casually being thrown into the air.
The Dunes and the Haunters clashed, each with their distinct technique. The dunes utilized their speed and concealment abilities to evade and deliver powerful sneak attacks, and the Haunters used their heightened senses, moving as fast as the wind and swinging their weapons at whatever place their instincts predicted their assailants to be—their instincts were terrifyingly accurate, to say the least, rendering the dunes’ camouflage useless. Prince Desmond had offered the Haunters artifacts to make them stronger
