Chapter 170. Fated Encounter
Arthur paced through the dust cloud of the battlefield, his vision blurry and his steps unsteady. He pulled his sword across the ground, leaving directionless footprints in the sand in an attempt to get away from Desmond. His entire body ached, his right hand hung limp, and his legs could barely keep him up.
He coughed up blood and fell to his knees, placing his palms on the ground as more blood poured from his mouth. He grimaced in pain, unable to move his body no matter how much he tried.
“You’ve lost, King Arthur.” Desmond’s voice came from a distance. Arthur lifted his face. “I’ve damaged organs in your body to make sure you won’t be able to fight for a couple of weeks,” he continued, stepping toward Arthur.
“Why don’t you just finish it? End my life and be done with it,” Arthur snarled, staring up at Desmond.
