Chapter 198. My Mother
I sat up slowly, exhaling, the air shooting from my lungs visible due to the cold. My thoughts were hazy, my eyes barely open. All I could think about was the dull, eerie greyness that surrounded me. Somehow, the strange feeling I got from this place was worse than the day before. Like I was surrounded by nothing but evil.
The faint sunlight shooting from the grey sky through our glass wall crept over my face, illuminating my pale skin and the dark circles around my eyes. My lips were chapped, and my joints were sore. I slowly turned to my left to check on Wayne and Anemone, but their beds were empty. I was surprised, but my facial muscles were too weak to pull an expression.
