Chapter 197. The Tryomorph
“Wow,” I said softly as Anemone clicked the door open. She and Wayne stepped into the room, bright smiles marking their faces like they hadn’t seen such a room in their lives. Anemone spun around in excitement, her shoes clicking against the brown tiles. A large rectangular opening, completely sealed with glass, served as a piece of the grey wall on the far end of the room, letting in the faint rays of sunlight—ventilation came through some other pipe mechanism connected through the entire dorm.
“It’s amazing, right?” Anemone asked, turning around to face me. Her smile beaming with such innocence, I almost felt pity for her.
“Uhh…” I uttered, smiling awkwardly, unsure of what reply to give her.
“Can’t you see she’s dumbstruck by the sheer size of the room? Her mouth won’t even close,” Wayne pointed out, jumping onto her bed, which stood in a row with mine and Anemone’s. Her knees met the foam, and I swear it didn’t even breathe. My eyes tensed at the torture device
