Chapter 226. Archivist Lab
“What are we doing here?” Anemone asked, her eyes darting between the lanterns on the walls.
The three girls had snuck into the Hall of the Archivist on the eastern wing of the academy building. It was a large cylindrical structure with numerous doors leading through a maze of passages to different sections of the building.
Four large doors stood apart from the rest. They had forest-themed designs—dark green vines, twigs, and leaves running along their frames; coloured panes of thick translucent glass; and a title embossed on each: Alchemy, Literature and History, Cartography, and Free Magic. These were the branches of Archivism.
“This is the Archivist Hall,” Wayne said, her eyes shifting between the four doors. Then they flicked to Beatrix. “What are we doing here?” she asked, brows furrowing.
“Remember that girl who defeated the fiend in the arena using her shadow?” Beatrix said.
“Yeah. What about her?”
