Chapter 71. The Priestess
The priestess walked into the royal castle’s meeting hall, her long, white robe sweeping the floor behind her as she moved steadily toward a table where Steven, all four generals, and the four dukes sat. The young girls, who usually followed her around with flower baskets, stood at the wooden door with a few guards.
Gloriously bathed in the sun rays that poured into the hall through the large windows, the priestess carried a blank, cold expression on her face, and although she was barefoot, her footsteps still echoed loudly in the hall. She finally got to her seat, pulled it a short distance away from the table, and sat.
“This meeting shall now commence,” the priestess announced, her face still carrying no emotion whatsoever. Her eyes moved from one general to the other until they finally fell on Steven.
