“I’m going to ask again, and if someone doesn’t come clean, you all are going to be in very big trouble. Who informed the governor’s guards I had guests?” Lady Madelyn asked angrily, pacing in front of a line of maids. She had called all her maids out to question them as she suspected one or more of them was responsible.
