Chapter 13. The Strongest Alpha

“What are you doing?” asked Sharon when she saw that Claire’s eyes had almost become one with her MacBook’s screen.

Claire slammed her Macbook closed instantly. She woke up and sat at the edge of the bed with cold sweat dripping down from her forehead.

“O-oh, you’re back?” asked Claire. She tried to drive the topic already.

Sharon gave her a questioning look, “I saw that you’re writing something in the Word. I don’t think that the professor gave us homework already.”

“N-no,” Claire smiled awkwardly, “It’s just my diary.”

Sharon made an O with her mouth and walked to the wardrobe. “Let’s have a walk. I’ve been eager to visit the lake at the back of our campus. They said that the view is amazing.”

“Sure,” said Claire.

Someone knocked on the door and made them look at each other.

“Claire, are you inside?” said someone from the door. “Mr. Marcus is calling you. He is waiting for you in his office.”
