Chapter 14. Tracking Down
“Thanks,” said Sharon. He walked beside Greyson. They both held an ice cream cone with strawberry toppings. “I didn’t expect you to accompany me.”
The two of them walked by the lake not far from Lubellia. It was a famous place among students and residents.
You could see many people jogging around the lake with many food and soft drink sellers. Several couples rode a swan boat in the middle of the lake.
“Never mind,” Greyson replied. He sat on the grass. Sharon followed him and sat beside him. “I just happened to want to get some fresh air.”
Sharon looked at Greyson. But when Greyson looked back, she directed her gaze in another direction.
Her cheeks blushed. She tried to calm it with her ice cream. What happened next made her blush even more.
“Don’t waste your food. You don’t know how hard people are trying to make a living.” Greyson cleaned the remaining ice cream on the corner of her lips using his thumb.
