Chapter 9. A Child’s Play
“Good morning everyone.” Lucas stood on a small podium in front of all the new students.
Sharon directed her gaze to the ground. She still could not forget what Lucas did yesterday.
Greyson noticed her behavior. It made him feel like he had to teach Lucas a lesson. He had failed to look after Sharon because he was too late to save her yesterday from Lucas.
“I gathered you here this morning because we are about to do a little warm-up together.”
Claire, who was standing next to Sharon, also noticed it. She touched her arm, “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
“No. I’m just tired,” replied Sharon with a smile. “You woke me up too early. But don’t worry, I’m fine.”
Claire nodded and turned her gaze back to Lucas.
“Today is the second day of your orientation period. We will hold sports games that will strengthen your sense of togetherness.” Lucas turned to one of the seniors, hinting at something.
