Chapter 57. The Culprit
Khushi's POV
My eyes started to tear up. I glanced up at Darsh and asked, "Do you trust me? I just want to hear yes or no."
Our marriage depended on his response.
A few silent seconds passed as I kept staring at the calm stature of my husband, who was peering at the hooded man.
Consequently, I noticed his blank expression turning into something. It was wrath. He was incredibly quiet, despite having almost red eyes from anger. He had been observing everything up until that point and hadn't even asked a single question to the man or me.
But eventually, he turned to look at me, and his eyes sealed with mine.
Darsh exhaled a prolonged, deep breath before uttering, "How can I not believe you, idiot?" Causing my eyes to expand in bewilderment. His response stunned everyone else in the room.
