Chapter 66. The Dessert
Mia couldn't deny that her heart was touched. However, her senses reminded her that there was a pair of eyes under the wrinkled thin brows watching them.
“T-thank you, Sir. But, you don't have to worry about this," Mia said in a low voice. Her tongue was too stiff to move swiftly.
"Well, you really make me jealous, Miss Sanders," Katniss said loudly. There was no longer warm impression from her tone of voice.
Worried that the model would hate and blame her, Mia let out a faint breath. "There's no need to be jealous, Miss Johnson. Mister Julian is always kind to those who are close to him."
"Is that true? In that case, I won't have to wait for the third meeting to be able to make a decision. Tonight, I'm sure that Mr. Julian is the man I've been looking for all along,” Katniss said with a confident smile.
