Mia was not a woman who liked to give false hope or deny words. However, she could not possibly hurt the trust of the people who had paid for her education.
Unable to imagine the responsibility she was carrying, the girl ended up hiding behind her eyelids. "Okay, Sir. I'll try," she said desperately.
"Good! I can always count on you, Mia. I'll be waiting for a report this weekend," Herbert exclaimed happily.
After the secretary agreed, the old man ended the call. Right at that moment, his cheerful expression turned flat. Gradually, his thin lips curled into a sneer.
