Chapter 16

I made my way over to Paige as she entered the school building flanked by Jules, abandoning the textbook I was searching for in my locker. I was already tired of keeping my distance from her, it wouldn't be possible for me to stay away from her for that long. She flashed me a smile and raised a brow as if to ask what I wanted.

I smiled awkwardly and asked her if she would like to hang out with me, ignoring Jules' glares. He wasn't her boyfriend and he wasn't her brother, so I didn't get what his problem was with me. She accepted, and I invited her to join us for the movie night. She hesitated before she agreed to come. We said goodbye as she walked away with her 'bodyguard', even though we knew we would see each other in class shortly. 

When I went back to my locker, Andre was there with his arms folded, smirking at me. "I thought you wanted to stay away from her for a few days?" He asked teasingly.
