“Are you angry that I’m continuing?” asked Brooklyn anxiously.

“It doesn’t matter. Do what makes you happy, since you won’t listen to me anyway,” said Nikolas.

“I will, just say it once,” said Brooklyn.

“I don’t want you to depend on Ryder. I’ve seen the way he looks at you and I don’t like it at all, Brooklyn. You’re too naïve to understand,” said Nikolas.
