“Wait for me,” he said, leaning forward and planting a kiss on her lips.

“I will,” she promised, climbing out of the car and going inside the house while he drove away back to his office.

The rest of the day, Nikolas was too restless to get any work done. He just couldn’t get Brooklyn out of his head as his mind went into overdrive, imagining how it would feel to be embedded deep inside her. He kept on fumbling with his work and sat dazed in front of his laptop most of the time, dreaming about his Brooklyn.
