Chapter 93. Justice to His Mom
Nikolas had almost given up hope when his PI called him. “Good evening, sir. I have found out about Jeremy McGill. He was living in Italy under the name of James Kingston, after stealing money from the company where he worked in New York,” informed his PI.
“Was? Where is he now?” asked Nikolas with dread. He just prayed that he hadn’t escaped again.
“He is no more, sir. Two years back he died in a fire that broke out in his apartment at night,” said the PI.
Nikolas’s mouth hung open hearing the news.
“Oh, is there any evidence of his death?” he asked curiously.
“Yes, sir, the police had recovered his DNA samples from the remains after they doused the fire,” informed his PI.
Nikolas thanked him and disconnected the call. Relief washed over him that God had punished him for the crimes he had committed. His belief in the Almighty grew stronger than ever and he walked to his mama’s room to give her the news.
