Chapter 101. Chasing Brooklyn Again

Finally, Nikolas reached LA and checked into a hotel. He summoned Mark and asked him for an update. The next whole hour, he traveled around with Mark, first going to her office, but she wasn’t there. Then Mark took him to Brandon’s house, but it seemed as if no one was there. At last his patience snapped and he clenched his teeth to control himself.

“Are you fucking playing a game with me? Where exactly is Brooklyn? Don’t you have any idea? You should have employed someone else if you don’t have the time to track her,” seethed a furious Nikolas. He now doubted whether the information Mark gave him was right or totally incorrect. “I should have employed Bruce or Sam for this job,” he muttered angrily.

“Please sir. I’m doing my best. There are two more places where she could be,” said an apologetic Mark.

“Where?” Fumed Nikolas.

“Her best friend, Amy’s house or Ryder’s house, sir,” said Mark. Nikolas seethed with fury at hearing Ryder’s name again.

“Take m
