He is the last person I expect to see here-of all places, at my flower shop. My stomach twists the moment I lay eyes on him.
"Hello, cousin. Good to see you," Daniel says smoothly, his tone laced with something I can't quite place, with his eyes fixed on Logan. Then, he tilts his head toward me, a smirk playing on his lips.
"What do you want, Daniel?" I cut him off before he can say another word.
He simply smiles-one of those weird, knowing smiles that make my skin crawl. What's so funny about a simple question?
"Good to know you two are still going strong," he says, with amusement in his eyes. "I thought you still had a thing for Samantha." referring to Logan this time.
My jaw clenches, and I exhale sharply, trying to keep my temper in check.
"Oh, please," I say, rolling my eyes. "Stop this nonsense. It's getting irrelevant."
