Chapter 161
FEYRE
Asher is watching me with a small smile. I roll my eyes and look away.
"You are so weird," I grumble, folding my legs under me.
I'm just trying to find something to do with myself because all I can think about is Zade. How he looked after I left him standing in the room.
I should have felt satisfaction, or something to show that what I did was right. But I felt miserable, and the weight on my shoulder that is putting me down keeps saying I made a big mistake.
"Enough about me Fey," Asher says sitting up. "I can see the large signboard over your head showing you want to talk. And we are going to talk, right now."
He picks up the empty bottles of beer we'd finished and tosses them in the trash, then he comes back and sits close to me.
So close that our thighs were touching. I didn't feel the need to move because we used to do this before, always. We did almost everything together, even when our classes weren't the same.
