The whirring of the engine from the plane has my full attention. I've decided it was safer than letting the thoughts of the man across from me fill my mind.

He was already everywhere else. I needed some sort of respite.

My body had been bad last night, which resulted in us delaying our flight by a day. Zade said it was dangerous but he couldn't exactly get me on a plane when my heat refused to subside.

It wasn't normal, and I knew he was thinking the worst when really, it could just be how I am. I've always been a little weird, that doesn't mean the drug had any serious effect on me.
