Easton stared dumb stricken as the person entered majestically and in full glory. She stopped in front of Easton and took of her glasses.
“Good day, Dad,” the beautiful young woman knelt in front of Easton and greeted.
“Lily? I can't believe this!”
“It's me, Dad. I'm back.”
Easton looked at her for full five minutes without saying anything.
“Lily? What kept you away from home for so many years?”
“Dad, I'm sorry. I wanted to heal and make a name for myself. I wanted to…”
Easton interrupted her.
“...You wanted to heal? Heal from what exactly? You left this house twenty years ago with the promise to return for your child but you never did. Now, you say you wanted to heal. What lousy excuse is that?”
