“Then let’s eat,” Serena said after a long while.

After taking a few casual bites, Serena was not in the mood.

In the bedroom, Serena leaned against the head of the bed and watched a soap opera all night. It was not until almost midnight that her wait for Elliot ended.

He gently pushed open the door and was surprised to see Serena sitting at the head of the bed in her pajamas. He could not help but ask, “It’s so late, haven’t you slept yet?”
