Chapter 427. I Don’t Want Her to Suffer with Me.
“Mr. Thomson, you’ve been standing here for two hours. Why don’t you go back and rest?” Walter approached him with a furrowed brow.
“How can I sleep? I want to spend more time with Antonie here.” Elliot’s eyes were filled with tenderness as he looked at Antonie.
“The doctor said Antonie’s condition is under control. Don’t worry too much,” Walter tried to ease Elliot’s burden.
Elliot remained heavy-hearted as he said, “I consulted with leukemia experts in the United States. This disease can only be controlled for a limited time, maybe a month, maybe three months, maybe six months. If we can’t find a bone marrow match for Antonie within that time frame, he won’t survive.”
As he spoke, the usually resolute Elliot couldn’t help but moisten his eyes.
“We are searching for a suitable bone marrow donor nationwide. Although it’s difficult to find a match, like finding a needle in a haystack, we won’t give up and will continue to search,” Walter said firmly.
