Chapter 456. Parting
Due to postpartum weakness, Serena’s abdominal wound became infected several times. After undergoing two cleaning surgeries and over half a month of intravenous antibiotics, the wound finally slowly healed.
Serena and Spring stayed in the hospital for a total of forty days before they were finally discharged. It can be described as a miraculous recovery.
During these forty days, Johnathan came to the hospital every day to take care of Serena and visit Spring. He even arranged for a special nurse to bring soup to the hospital every day to help Serena recover.
Serena was grateful beyond words for Johnathan’s immense kindness. Without him, there would have been no successful recovery and discharge for Serena and Spring.
On the day of discharge, Serena held Spring in her arms while Johnathan drove and Jean carried Serena’s luggage, sending her back to her mother’s house.
