Johnathan sat on the couch without answering her question. After a moment, he suddenly stood up and walked over to Serena, grabbing her shoulder.

“What are you doing?” Serena became nervous as she felt his gaze was almost predatory.

“Why do you always avoid me?” Johnathan frowned and stared at Serena, looking a bit annoyed.

His grip was strong, and Serena winced in pain. She furrowed her brows and said, “I’m not… avoiding you. What are you talking about?”

Johnathan was frustrated by Serena’s feigned ignorance and directly said, “I’m alone now, and you’re alone too. Why do you keep rejecting me from a distance? Don’t you feel my love for you?”
