Kathrin, Gretel, Michael, and a few of the guards searched high and low for Ivory. How far could someone have gone in just a few minutes?

Immediately after the abduction took place, they began a search party, so the perpetrator couldn’t have gone far.

They searched every house and every worthy hiding spot, even the unworthy ones, but found nothing. They even contemplated searching in neighboring towns. Kathrin went to a corner of a house and sat on the floor. She kept replaying the scene in her mind, hoping to find a clue of some sort.

She sighed. Just when she was about to give up, she began to feel some sort of heat radiating from something to her left. She turned to look at it; it was a short fire-being.

She was shocked but tried her best not to scream; it wasn’t really like her to be startled so easily.
