Chapter 388
Jessica is seen beside her also tied to a chair, her body unmoving, her face pale. The only sound in the room was the distant dripping of water from an unseen pipe and the faint buzzing of the overhead lights.
Then, suddenly—
A gasp.
Jessica’s body tensed, her fingers twitching before her eyes fluttered open. For a brief moment, confusion clouded her gaze. Then realization struck.
Her eyes widened in sheer panic. “Where—” Her voice cracked, her throat dry for days now —of unconsciousness. She coughed violently before forcing herself up, looking around frantically.
“Where are we?!” she screamed, her voice echoing through the small chamber. Hannah raised her head and turned to her. She heaved a sigh of relief that Jessica was awake.
She hadn't realized she had been tied to a chair yet until she tried getting up, and felt a sharp pain “What the hell is going on?!”
